Captain Darren Haydon started his career fishing the deck for eight years with the very best Cairns Captains including Laurie Woodbridge and Dennis “Brazakka” Wallace, Darren has had an extensive apprenticeship. He has had 20 years experience in the Cairns region, fishing 12 seasons as Captain weighing 5 Black Marlin over 1000lbs and releasing many more.

Darren has also fished around the world including Hawaii, the east coast of the United States and Mexico. He has also fished many of Australia’s other hotspots including Bermagui, Port Stephens and Broome. Still his passion and No.1 destination in the world is his home town Cairns Australia, and in particular the Ribbon Reef’s of the Great Barrier Reef.
